A Testimonial from Lilia T.

I’m pleased to be able to speak about how I came to know the Episcopal Church. It was 12 years ago when my younger sister was married. In those days I went to the Roman Catholic Church, and may I say you see the huge difference. Although I had always gone to Mass with devotion, in the Episcopal Church I have felt, since the first moment I entered, a very special warmth both in the congregation and in the Father. I felt very content. At the time I first visited I didn’t live in Highland Park and we continued attending the Roman Catholic Church. But eventually we moved and that was when I begin attending the Episcopal Church. And I have become more involved in order to know how my church functions, and I call it my church because I feel as if I’m talking about my home and my family, and that is the community of my church, like a family which helps in difficult times and rejoices in happy times, which helps those in need. I am proud to belong to the Episcopal Church and to help where possible. I give thanks go God for having allowed me to find this church and hope to continue to attend while I have life and health. This is my small testimony, as there are many in whom the church has changed their lives.
