About Our Church

Bulletin Board

The window was made by Judson Studios, Highland Park, a long established and world-renowned studio. It was donated by two of our parishioners in honor of the ministry of Fr. Leesom.

It contains many elements of Christian symbolism such as the ship representing the church itself, the feather representing the Gospel writers, Our Lady of Guadalupe (beleived to be the only stained glass representation of her in an Episcopal Church), the whole on the traditional Cerulean field, representing heaven.

The window was dedicated in 2006 by Bishop Sergio Carranza.

It replaces a window that was hand made by the then parishioners in about 1960 by gluing pieces of glass to a plain backing, using a glue designed to last no more than five years. Ever since it provided an unintentional accompaniment to our choir by raining pieces of itself on them when least expected. Once it had lost the majority of its ammunition, a new window was definitely called for!
